“My last experience with counseling or therapy was over twenty-five years ago so I have always been willing and open to seeking mental health professionals for traumas I suffered as a child. My journey with Sara Malcom Counseling began almost a year ago when I sought help in dealing with these issues again.
Sara has guided me through new therapy systems (such as EMDR and IFS), Biblical scriptures, and all with her remarkable understanding and compassion. She has taught me that therapy isn’t necessarily about “fixing” yourself, but more about helping you develop the ability to manage your experiences and expectations.
I have learned to set boundaries, believe in my self-worth, manage my reactions in stressful situations and change the lens through which I view things; focusing less on negativity and more on gratitude.
Learning about “generational trauma” has lifted the blame and shame burdens I have carried with me all my life and believed I deserved them. Sara has given me healthy strategies to deal with some of the painful experiences of my past which has been life changing.
Sara Malcom is passionate and devoted to finding realistic solutions to help you heal from your past and give you real hope for your future.”

“We are incredibly grateful for Sara, a gifted Christian counselor, and the life changing impact she's had on our 17-18 year old daughters during a challenging season.
Having two daughters with separate and distinct needs, we've witnessed her ability to take different paths with both having profound results.
Her faith-centered wisdom, compassion, and steady guidance has not only helped our daughters get back on the right track but has taken them to places of greater peace and confidence.
Sara creates a safe, encouraging space while offering practical, biblically grounded tools that truly make a difference. We wholeheartedly recommend Sara to any family seeking a therapist who genuinely cares and supports lasting growth through a Christ-centered approach.”

“I went through trauma that I tried to deal with on my own for years. I got better in a lot of ways, but was stuck in the past emotionally. I finally decided to seek therapy and did EMDR. EMDR did wonders for me in helping me move past my traumas and learn to not feel emotionally triggered anymore. I am so glad I had the courage to accept help instead of trying to go it alone like most men do.”
